Hi, I’m Kim — the owner and photographer behind WAVE Photography.
I’m a fully trained professional photographer, now based on our beautiful family farm in Kureelpa, nestled in the Blackall Range Hinterland on the Sunshine Coast.

Photography has been part of my life since I was 17, when I first picked up a camera working at a family portrait studio in the UK (yes, I'm a Pom!). I worked my way up to Head Photographer, and that’s where my love of capturing authentic moments truly began.
Over the next eight years, I followed my dreams — travelling, working in the entertainment industry, and photographing for companies like Walt Disney.

In 2011, my husband Tom and I made the big move to Australia, renovated our beachside home, and welcomed our beautiful son, Charlie, in 2016. Life was busy, beautiful, and filled with change — and my love for photography kept calling me back.
I went on to complete over two years of full-time study at one of Australia’s leading photography colleges, earning my professional qualifications.

Today, life looks a little different, and a lot more grounded. We've swapped beach life for farm life, and WAVE Photography has grown with us.
Now based on our family farm, I’m so excited to offer natural light family photography sessions in the beautiful rolling hills of Kureelpa, as well as working with small businesses to tell their story authentically.

I pride myself on getting to know every person I photograph, building trust so you can relax and truly be yourself — because that’s where the magic happens. Your photos should feel like you — warm, real, and something you’ll treasure forever.

Over the years, I’ve been lucky to have my work recognised, including winning the Sunshine Coast Heritage competition for my image of the SS Dicky wreck, and placing 3rd nationally in the Professional Photographers Landscape and Wildlife Photography Awards.

WAVE has always been about heart, connection, and capturing the moments that matter most — and I can't wait to share this beautiful new chapter with you.
